ickie trained her dog Chai to "sit pretty" and I was amazed when she sat up on her back legs and lifted her huge front paws off the ground. I absolutely LOVE her big huge paws, they are incredible in person especially hovering above you!
I LOVE Denver's tail. Nickie calls it his pig's tail. It reminds me of some kind of cinnamon bun or pastry. It's absolute perfection.
This is one of my most favourites from our shoot. I just adore dog noses and slobbering tongues. Don't you just love Chai's smile?
Those paws I love again. Standing perfectly posed on two river stones.
Nickie works at The Bow River Vet Clinic and she is one of the women who cared for our girl Edith. She's always there to help us and answer questions. Nickie is heading to school this fall to continue her passion for dog behavior training and I have no doubt that her calm, patient, giving nature will help a lot of dogs and their owners.
I was so excited when Nickie took us to her favourite place in Canmore for photographs. We had a gorgeous day and I loved Chai's "sit pretty" along with Denver's ability to wave to us. It is clear she adores her dogs and it was fun to be able to capture a few photographs of her dog family out playing by the river.
